Resolution of the Southern National Congress
5 March Anno Domini 2005

Seventy-five Southern citizens from eleven States gathered in McDonough, Georgia on March 5, 2005 to formally constitute the Southern National Congress (SNC) Committee. The SNC Committee will serve as both the convening authority and support structure for the Southern National Congress. The actual Congress will meet at a future time and location to be determined by the SNC Committee. The Southern National Congress will serve as the legitimate and authentic voice for all Southern people in determining their own destiny -- as Southerners. The SNC is intended to provide a representative public forum for Southerners to come together and collectively seek redress of their grievances and advance their goals and their interests. It will represent the aspirations and the welfare of the Southern people in manner that the two major political parties and today’s politics are neither willing nor capable of doing.

The participants of the first SNC Committee meeting voted unanimously to adopt the following resolution creating the new body:

Whereas no legitimate voice exists for the Southern people in politics, economics, culture, nor society;

Whereas the Southern people have lost control of our lives and our futures, as well as those of our children, and no institution exists to restore our independence and liberty;

Whereas we deplore that race has been used, and is used today, to divide the Southern people and to prevent us from working together to decide our own destiny;

Whereas the Southern people have a God-given right to preserve our unique and valuable way of life, which stands in danger of extinction;

Be it resolved, therefore, that we, citizens of the several Southern States here assembled, in order to convene and support a Southern National Congress as the legitimate, representative voice for Southern interests and grievances, do hereby constitute the Southern National Congress Committee, so help us God.

Adopted on this fifth day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand and five, in the city of McDonough, Georgia.

The SNC Committee is forming State Committees in each Southern State (to include Maryland and Oklahoma) which will be responsible for forming the delegation for each State. In keeping with the SNC Committee’s commitment to State sovereignty, each State SNC Committee will establish the number of Delegates it will send to the Congress, and will determine the criteria and manner of Delegate selection. The first session of the actual Congress will be a unicameral Assembly of Delegates in which each State will have one vote. Once the Congress convenes, it will assume sovereignty over its own structure, organisation, and its acts, positions, and pronouncements; and in the future may decide to add a second house, a Council of Representatives.

The SNC Committee invites the participation of all Southern people who wish to preserve the South’s traditional way of life and to protect her economy, her people, and their livelihood from the growing threat of centralisation and globalisation.

The Regime
We’ve used this term extensively. What do we mean by it? SNC Organization Plan
The SNC will provide an alternative legitimate means of expressing Southern goals, grievances, and solutions in a way that does not presently exist.
